Borderlands 2: Defeat The Warrior Exploit

Manufacturer: Gearbox Software
Product Name: Borderland 2
Price: $59.99 Standard Edition (Newegg / Amazon)
$99.99 Deluxe Vault Hunter Collector Edition (Newegg / Amazon)

Borderlands 2 is an exciting game that pulls you into a fantasy world that's been done a hundred times, but finds a way to give it to you like never before. While the game itself is a hybrid creation with familiar ingredients that taste of Eve Online, World of Warcraft, and Fallout, then seasoned with hints of Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty. Players assume the role of a "vault hunter" in one of four combat disciplines: Commando, Gunzerker, Assassin, and Siren. The character then fight bandits in first-person shooter format across a vast array of maps, but unlike most FPS-styled games, each level means better loot and tougher enemies. In this article Benchmark Reviews explains how to easily beat 'The Warrior' end boss within 'The Talon of God' final story mission, then we show you how to farm him for XP and legendary purple weapons over and over again.

Borderlands2-Defeat-The-Warrior-Intro.jpg

Borderlands 2 has no limit on how quickly you complete the main story, but with nearly 130 missions in normal mode there are at least sixty hours of gameplay before you reach the final story mission. Impatient players can choose to ignore side missions and quickly cut through the main story to reach 'The Talon of God' final mission sooner, but those players will be poorly prepared for the level-30 enemy strength that comes with this stage. Borderlands 2 presently limits players to 50 skill levels, but anyone past level 25 should be capable of beating the game... with exception to the bonus side mission that comes afterward.

Much like the five rounds of Bandit Slaughter and Hyperion Slaughter missions, players should have a weapon of every type with expanded ammunition capacity. It's recommended that players also have a fully-upgraded Storage Deck for all of the loot they'll receive, in addition to all the ammunition storage upgrades. When you're ready to enter Vault of the Warrior, make sure you're carrying maximum ammunition, rockets, and grenade, but also make sure you've deposited all unnecessary items in a safe. Unfortunately, items like the Sabre Turret won't have any effect on The Warrior, but she'll still be very in useful for farming XP. Read on to learn how it's done!

Hi, sorry to be picky but there are "Four" disciplines Commando, Gunzerker, and Assassin AND SIREN... Ooops. Polite correction.

Hiya.

This game is a hybrid, but not of any of the games you mentioned! It is Dead Island skinned with Red Dead Redemption's graphics :).

I have to disagree with you. Borderlands 2 does have a lot of the qualities from the aforementioned games such as Fallout 3's RPG aspects, with World of Warcrafts creativity in creatures and style, Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty's action based shooter immersion, and while im a little sketchy about how Eve Online can really relate to this game (as i have never played it) but after reading what is in it, it sounds like the leveling system and the way players progress seems about right. I as well cant see a relation between Dead Island and Red Dead Redemption as the play style, and how the two games work in gameplay, are completely different. I do not wish to offend you, but i do not believe i can relate either of the two games you have mentioned to Borderlands in any possible way.

I can see this. Dead Island was on a much simplier and smaller scale, but yeah, they relate.

This may be a silly question. I completed my first playthrough and started Vault hunter mode without even thinking of farming. If I re-enter normal mode, and go back to Hero's Pass, will the Warrior be there for me again?

Great article by the way.

Yep, the Warrior will still be there to fight again. Plus, you can use this method to beat him in True Vault Hunter mode.

Wow, accomplishing the game by basically taking advantage of an exploit.

I'll try it the legitimate way first. Maybe I'll try the cheating method with a different character later on.

Cheats like this basically ruin the game. I hope they patch it.

If you know what else is out there, this is hardly and exploit or cheat. You're merely crouching down behind a rock, which isn't exactly difficult to figure out for yourself.

That's not true. You are not entering the active area, and you are not allowing the "Boss" to activate, basically killing him off before the games even triggers him to act. That's pretty much the very definition of an exploit.

"Since you haven't crossed beyond the shield The Warrior won't move about the map"

I would have to figure that the people who use this method just are not good enough to kill the boss without cheating. This begs the question, why bother buying the game in the first place? If you want to shoot at stationary targets that can't fight back, you can always play "Angry Birds".

Those who can, do. Those who can't, cheat.

And those who have nothing original to say, use quotes, then turn those quotes around to suit their vapid arguments.

Or, they could use this method to simply farm him for his orange loot. But you would rather pound your keyboard slamming other gamers than use that slush you laughably call gray matter.

It's a hobby, gomer. Anybody who puts such a restrictive approach to gaming (i.e. kill it your way or gtfo) is playing games for all the wrong reasons. Nobody cares how hardcore you think you are.

It's not a kill it my way or get out. But don't try and tell me it's not cheating or exploiting. You farm kill the boss without him fighting back. EXPLOIT

Why don't you just shut the # up and let people get on with it? The main reason for gaming is for the sheer fun of it. Exploiting or not, so long as you have fun that's all the matters! If you don't like the article for the suggested use of exploits, then why bother commenting? - Oh wait, yeah I get it. It's to show everyone how "hardcore" you are -.-' Please...no one gives a #.

Sorry to tell you, the turret does attack the warrior. I ran out of ammo once and the turret just completely poggered it.

What I consider "cheating" is no way out juggling in Tekken6 LOL People can play as they please otherwise the game would have limits that prevent such cheating. What "I" call cheating is modding or using actual cheats LOL. If u can't defeat it head on try something else thats part of free will LOL Calling that cheating is the same as branding Luke Skywalker a cheater for throwing that rock LOL!!! BTW 4 a good time (kidding)contact me on PSN @ saberice85.

Cheating or not, I like this alternative.

However, i have a little problem. I killed the warrior the first time, when i save and restart, it did not respawn the warrior. Only asking me to kill Jack.

How to respawn the warrior in this case? Can someone help me? Thanks.
