We all know that AMD has recently taken the performance crown away from Nvidia with the release of the HD 5870 and HD 5970 graphic cards. A crown that was held tall by the Nvidia GTX 295/285. The honor is often traded back and forward between the two. But in order to experience the performance giving by either of these cards means that you will have to fork out $400 plus.
Gigabyte also know that you have to granted people looking for a good GPU and that are on budget with the proper tools. The latest HD 5770 or GV-R577UD-1GD is just that card. For the $160 asking price you get a blazing 850MHz Core and 4800MHZ of GDDR5 memory. Equipped with less stream processors, lower texture fill rate and memory bandwidth the HD 5770 looks to still be a winner in our books.
