Corsair Carbide 300R Case Review
Since the release of their 800D series, Corsair's domination within the PC case market has been almost absolute. Granted, there have been a few cases from the likes of NZXT, Bitfenix and to a lesser extent Antec that have gone on to sales success but for the most part, they've become secondary competitors. One area where Corsair hadn't ventured into was the low cost entry level sub-$90 category but that's all about to change with the introduction of the new Carbide 300R.
The 300R is one of those cases that likely won't appeal to enthusiasts since it cuts some corners in order to attain a $79 price but for the rest of the market, owning a Corsair case has never been so affordable. While some minor sacrifices have been made, we still see the Carbide series' longstanding tradition of feature rich offerings make a comeback here as well. With an all-black interior, plenty of expansion space and a relatively neutral overall design, we're thinking the 300R may allow Corsair to take the lead in some people's minds... Hardware Canucks
