LG FLATRON L1752S 17" Monitor
Very recently Benchmark Reviews celebrated our first year on the web, and held a contest for our readers. One of the incentives to earn additional contest entries was to submit a user review of the monitor or television of their choice. A few of these articles are good enough to share with our audience, so we hope that you will find it just as helpful as our professional reviews. In this short article, Jacky Boen reviews his LG FLATRON L1752S 17-Inch LCD monitor.
The LG FLATRON L1752S 17-Inch LCD Monitor will make your work look better. With the Standard Series, users will enjoy all the benefits of LG's advanced LCD screen technology that eliminates glare, image distortion and screen flicker, allowing sharp, convenient and comfortable viewing without fatigue.
I bought this LCD monitor 2 years ago. It's a quite standard LCD monitor which doesn't have many features but the features are quite good. It has a contrast of 1600:1 and quick response of 8ms.
To enhance the visual display quality, LG has included an exclusive technology called Flatron f-Engine. With this technology, We can adjust the color by pressing the f-Engine button on the right behind the monitor frame so that the color appears more beautiful and easy on the eye. It also has Auto Image Adjustment button which can correct the screen when the screen is displayed incorrectly.
The retail price for this monitor was around $219 USD which is not a bad price at all.
After looking at the bundle, i find the bundle to be quite simple. It's got all a monitor needs in it. The following is found in the bundle:
With regard to the design of the monitor, there is no noticeable change in regard to other models in the series L175X LG. It retains the name of the model located on the upper left and the decals on the upper right(f-Engine, Energy Star, and 1600:1 DFC.
On the back you can see everything that is the frame, where we find the power connector (left) and analog VGA connector (right). Below l analog VGA connector can see product information, the data that we see, we realize that was manufactured in China and supports several standards, including TCO'03.
LG L1752S Evaluation
First things first, before using the monitor i must arm it. The arming is very simple, as i said earlier, within the bundle find the base, support and monitor itself. The base should unite to support monitor like this:
Next we will have to connect the power cable and wire analog VGA monitor, then connect to an outlet and the PC. The plastic base of the monitor is very good, I thought the arming like "This is going to fall down" but not, the base meets its goal well (all positions) and adheres well to the surface to bear the weight of the monitor, it is just about 3.5Kg.
I think for $200USD, this monitor is pretty good. It's got everything a good monitor should have. It has got 8ms response time and 1600:1 contrast and all that. This monitor was excellent at that time but for now, i really don't know.
